1. Introduction
Zupiyo OTT integrates with YouTube's API Services to provide a seamless and diverse viewing experience. This page explains our relationship with YouTube, how we display content, and how user data is handled in accordance with Google and YouTube policies.
By accessing or using the Zupiyo OTT platform to watch content sourced from YouTube, you legally agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
2. Compliance with YouTube & Google Policies
Zupiyo OTT fully adheres to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. Users are encouraged to read the Google Privacy Policy to understand how their data is handled by YouTube and Google when they interact with embedded players or API-driven content.
3. Data Access and Usage
Our application interacts with YouTube API Services in the following manner:
- Content Display: We use the API to fetch public metadata such as video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and channel names to display curated catalogues of content available on YouTube.
- Embedded Player: Videos sourced from YouTube are played using the official YouTube Embedded Player. This ensures that views are accurately counted and that content creators receive the attribution and ad revenue (if applicable) they are entitled to.
- No Unauthorized Storage: We do not download, store, or cache YouTube video files on our servers. All playback occurs directly from YouTube's servers to your device.
4. User Information
Respecting your privacy is paramount. Regarding YouTube API Services:
- No Personal Data Collection: Zupiyo OTT does not access, collect, or share your private YouTube user data (such as your watch history or liked videos) through the API.
- Independent Account Management: Any interaction you have with the YouTube player (e.g., liking a video, subscribing to a channel) is governed directly by your Google account settings and YouTube's privacy practices.
5. Revoking Access
If you have authorized Zupiyo OTT to access your Google account (if such a feature is ever enabled for playlist syncing, for example), you have the right to revoke that access at any time.
You can manage and revoke third-party app permissions via the Google Security Settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
6. Advertising and Monetization
Videos played through the YouTube Embedded Player may display advertisements served by YouTube. Zupiyo OTT does not control the content of these ads, and revenue generated from them belongs to the copyright holders and YouTube, in accordance with their agreements. We do not overlay our own ads on top of the YouTube player.
7. Copyright and Content Ownership
All YouTube content displayed on our platform remains the intellectual property of the respective content creators and copyright holders.
If you are a copyright owner and believe your content is being displayed on Zupiyo OTT in a way that infringes your rights, please note that because we simply embed the YouTube player, the most effective way to remove the content is to restrict embedding or remove the video from YouTube directly. This will instantly make it unavailable on our platform.
